Calculation procedure of Half-pay Leave


(a) The present system of crediting half-pay leave for 20 days in respect of a Government employee for his each completed year of service is being dispensed with. From 1st July, 2001, the half-pay leave account of every Government employee shall be credited with half-pay leave in advance in two instalments of ten days each on the first day of January and July of every calendar year.


(b) The leave shall be credited to the said leave account at the rate of 5/3 days for each completed calendar month of service which a Government employee is likely to render in the half-year of the calendar year in which he is appointed.


(c) The credit for the half-year in which a Government employee is due to retire or resigns from the service shall be allowed at the rate of 5/3 days per completed calendar month up to the date of retirement or resignation.


(d) When a Government employee is removed or dismissed from service or dies while in service, credit of half-pay leave shall be allowed at the rate of 5/3 days per completed calendar month up to the end of the calendar month preceding the calendar month in which he is removed or dismissed from service or dies in service.


(e) Where a period of absence or suspension of a Government employee has been treated as 'dies non'in a half-year the credit to be afforded to his half-pay leave account at the commencement of the next half-year, shall be reduced by '/4th of the period of 'dies non' subject to a maximum of 10 days.


( f) While affording credit of half-pay leave, fraction of a day shall be rounded off to the nearest day.


(g) While introducing this new system, calculation of half-pay leave for incomplete portion up to 30th June, 2001, may be regulated in the following manner:


The employees may be allowed the benefit of half-pay leave for the incomplete period of service till 30th June, 2001, by crediting to their half-pay leave account at the rate of 5/3 days per month on 1st July, 2001, along with the advance credit of half-pay leave. While calculating the completed month of service, the month may be rounded off to the next higher, if it exceeds more than 15 days. For example if an employee who has completed a year's service as on 11.11.2000, he may be given the benefit of half-pay leave from November, 2000 (since it exceeds more than 15 days) to June, 2001, for 13 days

Difference between GD and FIR

  GD বা General Diary এবং FIR বা First Information Report এই শব্দ গুলির সঙ্গে আমরা সকলেই কম বেশী পরিচিত ৷ এই দুটি জিনিস একনয় ৷ আসুন দেখে নেওয়া যাক GD ও FIR এর মধ্যে পার্থক্য ৷ 👉GD বা General Diary হল এমন একটি বই ( সাধারনত ১০০টি পাতা থাকে) যাতে একটি থানার প্রতিটি ঘটনার বিবরন থাকে ৷ যেমন সংশ্লিষ্ট থানার পুলিশ কর্মীদের যাওয়া আসা , চার্জগ্রহন, আসামীর অ্যারেস্ট ইত্যাদি দৈনন্দিন কাজকর্মের বিবরণ থাক GD Book এ ৷ এটি থানার কর্মীদের দ্বারা Maintain করা হয় ৷ 👉 FIR বা First Information Report হল এমন একটি লিখিত বিবরণ যা যে কোনো সূত্র থেকে পাওয়া তথ্য ৷ FIR এ অভিযোগীকারী বা তথ্য প্রদানকারী সহি বা LTI থাকবে ৷ ৷ FIR এর একটি কপি সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তিকে বিনামূল্যে প্রদান করা হয়৷ অরিজন্যাল FIR টি কোর্টে পাঠানো ও একটি নির্দিষ্ট কেস শুরু হয় ৷ 👉Police Act ধারা 88 এ GD বিষয়টি উল্লেখ আছে। FIR এর বিষয়টি ফৌজদারী কার্যবিধি ( CrPC) ধারা ১৬২ তে উল্লেখ আছে ৷ 👉 GD is a record of all important events which take place in a police station. e.g arrival and departure of police staff, handing over and taking over of c...
