👉 এই প্রকার ছুটি কয়েকটি বিশেষ ছোঁয়াচে রোগের ক্ষেত্রে কর্মচারী বা তার পরিবারের / একই বাড়ীর কেউ আক্রান্ত হলে যদি কর্মক্ষেত্রে তার উপস্থিতি অন্য কর্মচারীদের  বিপজ্জনক মনে হয় তাহলে এই প্রকার ছুটি সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মচারী পেতে পারে ৷

💠 কোন কোন রোগের ক্ষেত্রে এই ছুটি প্রযোজ্য হবে-

  • Sacrlet Fever
  • Plague ( Bueekmonic or bubonic)
  • Typhus
  • Cerebro-spinal meningitis
 এছাড়া যারা খাবার প্রস্তুতি বা বিতরনের সঙ্গে যুক্ত তাদের ক্ষেত্রে নীচের রোগগুলি ও প্রযোজ্য
  • Dysentery
  • Enteric fever (Typhoid fever)
  • Malta Fever
  • Paratyphoid fever

➡️বর্তমানে আরও কয়েকটি রোগ সংযোজিত হয়েছে যেমন-

  • MARS
  • COVID-19
  • Avian Influenza (H5N1)/ Novel Influenza
  • Crimean Congo Haemorrhagic Fever (CCHF)

🙋 এই প্রকার ছুটি সর্বোচ্চ ২১ দিন পর্যন্ত বা বিশেষ ক্ষেত্রে ৩০ দিন পর্যন্ত পাওয়া যায় মেডিক্যাল অফিসার বা পাবলিক হেল্থ অফিসারের সার্টফিকেটের ভিত্তিতে ৷
➡️ এই প্রকার ছুটি অন্য ছুটির সঙ্গে Continue করা যায় ৷



Quarantine leave. 
Rule 198. 
(1) Where, in consequence of the presence of an infectious disease, referred to in sub-rule (2), in the family or household of a Government employee at his place of duty, residence or sojourns, his attendance at his office is considered as hazardous to the health of other Government employees, such Government employee may be granted quarantine leave. 

(2) (a) For the purpose of sub-rule (1), small-pox may be considered as infectious disease, chicken-pox shall not, however, be considered as infectious disease unless the Medical Officer or Public Health Officer considers that because of doubt as to the true nature of the disease, e.g., small-pox, there is reason for the grant of such leave. 

(b) The following diseases shall also be treated as infectious for the purpose of grant of Quarantine leave: 

(I) (i) Scarlet Fever, 
(ii) Plague (Bueekmonic or bubonic),
 (iii) Typhus, 
(iv) Cerebro-spinal meningitis;

 (II) for persons employed in the preparation and distribution of food, the following additional diseases shail also be treated as infectious: 
(i) Dysentery, 
(ii) Enteric fever (Typhoid fever), 
 (iii) Malta Fever, 
(iv) Paratyphoid fever. 

(3) (a) Quarantine leave may be granted by the head of office on the certificate of a Medical Officer or Public Health Officer for a period not exceeding 21 days or, in exceptional circumstances, 30 days. 

(b) Any leave necessary in excess of this period shall be treated as leave due and admissible and shall be debitable to the leave account of the Government employee. 

(4) Quarantine leave, subject to the maximum laid down in sub-rule (3), may also be granted, when necessary, in continuation of other leave. 

(5) A Government employee on Quarantine leave shall be treated as on duty. No substitute shall be appointed while he is on such leave. , 

Note: 

The term “Medical Officer or Public Health Officer” occurring in this rule includes Medical Officer in charge of any Government (Civil or Military) or Municipal Hospital or Dispensary. In case of a Government employee at whose place - of duty, there is no Government or Municipal Hospital! or Dispensary, it includes the Medical Officer in charge of a Government or Municipal Hospital or DispenSary situated nearest to his place of duty.

M E M O R A N D U M

           Rule 198 of WBSR, Pt.-I, provides for the grant of Quarantine Leave to a government employee when he/she or any member of his/her family is affected by such infectious disease as specified thereunder as his/her attendance at office place of duty is considered hazardous to other government employees.

           With the passage of time, outbreak of some other diseases in the country had been considered to be infectious of which COVID-19 has been declared Pandemic by WHO this year.

             In view of this, inclusion of other infectious diseases including COVID-19 under the provision of Rule 198 of WBSR, Pt.- I, was under active consideration of the Government.

        Now, after careful consideration and taking the valued opinion of Health & amily Welfare Department of this Government, the undersigned is directed to include the following five diseases in the list of infectious disease under Rule 198 of WBSR, Pt.-I, in addition to the existing diseases as specified therein :

1. SARS 

2. MARS 

3. COVID-19 

4. Avian Influenza (H5N1) / Novel Influenza

 5. Crimean Congo Haemorrhagic Fever (CCHF)

          Rule 198 of WBSR, Pt.- I stands modified to such extent. All other norms related to sanction of Quarantine Leave will continue to be the same as laid down under the said rule. Amendment of the rule to that extent will be made in due course.

      This will be deemed to have taken effect from the 12th day of March, 2020.

No 2424- G.S.   Dated, The 4th December, 2020

Consequent upon the issuance of the Memorandum No. 3230 - F (P1) dated 18.11.2020 by the Government of West Bengal, Finance Department, Audit Branch, in the wake of outbreak of certain infectious diseases inclusive of Covid-19 pandemic, the following five diseases have been included in the list of infectious disease under Rule 198 of WBSR, Pt. - I, in addition to the existing infectious diseases as specified therein, for the purpose of grant of Quarantine Leave in respect of State Government employees, keeping all other norms relating to sanction of Quarantine Leave same as laid down under the said Rule:

1. SARS 
2. MARS
 3. COVID-19
 4. Avian Influenza (H5N1)/Novel Influenza 
5. Crimean Congo Haemorrhagic Fever (CCHF).

Now, pursuant to Order of the Hon'ble the Chief Justice dated 24.11.2020, to the effect of adoption of the provisions contained in such Memorandum being No. 3230 - F (P1) dated 18.11.2020, as has been made applicable for the State Government employees, the provisions made thereunder are hereby made applicable in respect of the members of West Bengal Judicial Service, employees of both the Appellate Side & Original Side Establishment of this Hon'ble Court, employees of the West Bengal Judicial Academy, employees of the Judges' Guest House at Bijan Bhawan and also to the staff attached to the subordinate Judiciary in West Bengal, mutatis mutandis, on the terms and conditions contained inter alia.

This will be deemed to have taken effect from 12.03.2020, in terms of the self-same Order of the Hon'ble the Chief Justice.

  No. 6112 F (P2) dated 09.11.2023  List of Public holidays 2024 In exercise of the power conferred by the explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 (XXVI of 1881), read with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Notification No. 20/25/56-pub(l) dated the 8" June, 1957, the Governor is pleased to declare the days as specified at List I below to be Public Holidays during the year 2024. 2.
